Seriously if you are wearing flip flops as in the sandals that slide on with a thong that goes between your toes, isn't it hard to walk? (aside from asking why you do, which I have done already in the past)

I am in charge of making some new clothing wear with our company logo on it and thought of trying to do some cheap flip flops. I need them to be cheap but not ugly- you know? Any ideas? Looking to do men and womens...

(2)Try spraying them with Windex or any window cleaner that contains ammonia. Wipe with a clean cloth. Ammonia is great on cutting through dirt.

Reply:UGGGGHHHHH!!! I it when mine get dirty. To clean them, I get a big bristly brush, dump a ton of soap (like Dawn or something) on them, add water, and scrub! It takes a lot of muscle, but they look brand new after I wash them.

first you can soak them in HOT water for about 30 minutes. then, take them out and rinse them with cold water. use laundry detergent (or any iquid soap) and a scrub brush (an old tothbrush would work just as well.) and scrub away!

second, you could just toss them into the washer. this works just as good.
third, you could soak them in some bleach or vinegar for about an hour. then you take them out and let them soak in cold water for about 10-20 minutes.
fourth, you could always get a new pair! ;-)
always remember to let them dry outdoors (if possible).
all these home rememdies should work for any type of flip flops.

Have him tell them your height and if they are lacking in intelligence, go to Walmart and buy a couple of extra pair of heel cushions for his shoes for that day, get the shoes a half size larger.
For that matter, wear heels don't worry about it. Tom Cruise and Katie aren't worried about the foot between them.

Reply:I would follow the rules! There are many beautiful types of shoes out there. I like Dansko shoes of all styles. You can look them up on the computer. I like the ones with closed toes and a strap ankle. They are fashionable and comfortable.

Tatami flip-flops are the ones that have the woven straw like foot beds. I really like the way they look and am thinking of buying a pair. If I do, then I will probably get the ones they have in Wal-Mart. But they have really thin straps.

our school has a dress code that sais that the sleeves of our shirts have to be at least three fingers wide, we have to wear closed toe shoes and it get really hot here in fairfield and it would be nice not to melt out side in a t-shirt, a spagetti strap would be nice or flip-flops. is the dress code fair???

We came to terms, where no tank tops that show bra straps (spag. straps were allowed if you wore a strapless bra, no limit on shorts, however, your underware nor your butt cheeks were allowed to show. We also faught to wear sandles and flip flops, which I never understood what the problem was. Oh and our shirts had to be long enough to cover the top of our pants/shorts by like an inch or something.

Ladies, do you continue to wear a pair of 'flip-flops' or sandals even if your 'footprints' begin to show?
Like an old pair of blue jeans, a shirt or some other comfortable article of clothing, some things are just too hard (and too comfortable) to part with. But ladies, do you still wear flip-flops or sandals even when your 'footprints' begin to show? Are they that comfortable or are you just too attached to them to part with them and buy a new pair?

After my footprint begins to show, I only wear them if I am doing errands or something. Like, just running to the store, or hanging with buddies.
But if I am going out and people will actually see me, I would never wear icky shoes.

i just bought a pair and so far they have gotton a bit dirty with my foot print but how do you clean them when they get dirty
i was looking at the other questions and i saw some said to gently rub then in warm water and soap but others said that if they EVER touch water it will ruin the color and it will stain your feet when you wear them! please help! i dont want to ruin my flip flops!

I find it hard to believe that a pair of flip flops would be ruined should they ever touch water. You might take a wet washcloth and apply water to the underside of the straps and see if the colors fade or run, then you can decide how to clean them.

Before you say No! READ! A friend and I were talking about whether or not it's okay to still wear flip-flops, or thongs, whatever you may call them.
I SAY it depends on where you live. For example, where I live we've still got high's in the 80's.
I think people in the North should definitely not be wearing them anymore though. But those of us in the South, %26amp; in CA, FL, TX, AZ, etc. have still got warm enough temps. to.

I personally like the security of strap ons as you can still get around like you would in a shoe and not have the fear of tripping. I only use flip flops occasionally to fit in with the trend.

For white flip flops Ajax works great to remove the dark stains, but if it is not white I would recommend using baking soda. Baking soda not only cleans stains but also deodarizes shoes.

Reply:guys can wear flip flops but i usually prefer if they're brown...now i think you have to find your own style but on guys i prefer if they wear a shirt (from american eagle or a brand equal to that quality), plaid shorts, sneakers, and maybe aviators.

I'm buying Juicy Couture flip flops, but before I buy them I wanted to know if there is any way that I can prevent the logo from wearing off and if there is any way I can prevent them from getting dirty (you know when you wear them it makes an imprint of your foot).

depending on the fabric and size of logo you could use clear nailpolish or glue
Reply:Well, theres not much you can do, but make sure your feet are SUPER clean before you wear them, and try not to wear them every day. Also, you could use a little bit of bleach and water to make the whites look white and less dingy if they are fabric!

Reply:Manly men can definitely pull them off as long as they have nice feet and they take care of them. Keep your toenails clipped and clean, take care of your rough spots on your feet, keep your actual feet clean, and you should be good to go.
I will say, however, that I hate it when men wear them with jeans with really super wide legs. The legs of the jeans drag on the ground, and get all gross and ratty, and it looks bad. Also, please wear decent looking flip-flops. Ugly, crappy footwear of that type is unattractive. I don't mind worn out skate shoes, but flip-flops really need to look a bit nicer. You don't have to buy expensive ones, just make sure you throw them out before they start looking like you found them in a trash can. When I see that, it doesn't matter how manly the guy is--it's icky.

Would it be a bad idea to wear flip flops with my prom dress?
causei cant find the right shoes so i think i might go with flip flops my dress is a strapless sage colored dress it is a tiny tiny bit shorter than knee lenghtth and has a little bow on the side. thank you for all your help[ ahead of time!!

My dress covered my shoes, but since yours would be showing it's all up to you. Honestly, I don't see a problem with it. It's your prom and you should be comfortable. And in 10 years you won't be worried about what shoes you wore, you'll be remembering the fun time you had with your friends :) Have a great time!
