Why are flip flops not called flop flips?

I think it sounds better!

Why are flip flops not called flop flips?
Nothing to stop you calling them flop flips! Be original, strike out on your own and stand up for your rights to say what you think!


Personally I don't call them anything usually, I just put them on and walk everywhere in them!
