Are you less inclined to go barefoot if you are wearing shoes and socks versus just flip flops or sandals?

It seems easier to just kick off flip flops versus removing shoes and peeling off socks.

Would your choice of existing footwear hinder how likely you were to go barefoot if there was an activity that looked like it would be fun to participate in barefoot (say tossing a Frisbee around outside)?

From the moment I decided to go barefoot, well over ten years ago, I've only worn footwear a handful of times. I never wear shoes and socks or sandals/flipflops at all, only when it's well below freezing do I carry footwear in case I get stranded somewhere; haven't needed it for several winters but if we get a very nasty cold spell and I do have to resort to it, it wouldn't matter what it was, it'd come off the second I got back indoors.
Reply:No way !! i hardly ever wear shoes and socks but do you know how good it feels to take them off and walk on the beach after you have been wearing them all day !?!?!

After school i used to get off the bus and walk home along the beach with no shoes on and it was the most refreshing thing in the world after a long day at school....

I will always prefer to go barefoot but on the odd occasion i do wear shoes and socks, i will take them off any chance i get.
Reply:It doesn't matter to me--as soon as I come home, OFF come the shoes. I wear Teva sandals in the summertime, but in winter, I wear tennis shoes. Sometimes I walk around in socks if my feet are cold. When I am outside at my house, I either go barefoot or with just socks. I HATE shoes, but they are sometimes necessary.
Reply:it doesnt matter to me i take mah shoes n socks of because i cant stand da flip flopping of flip flops
Reply:Yes.
Reply:i would think yes.

it is easier to take off flip-flops

than it is to take off both socks and shoes.
Reply:If I wanted to go barefoot, I wouldn't put on socks and shoes, and certainly not flip flops or sandals on in the first place....sheeeeeesh...
Reply:yeah, if i had shoes on i wouldnt take the time to take them off, then when i put them on it takes forever.
Reply:It is easier to just kick off a pair of flip flops

However the feeling of removing confining runners and and then slipping off socks felt great. Because there is that initial feeling of a gentle cool breeze and allowing my feet to breath and feel free from their prison.

I don't wear socks anymore just flip flops but when I used to I always went barefoot if I wanted no matter what I had on my feet at the time.

During activities outside I always go barefoot, it is much more fun that way and no matter what I was wearing be it flip flops or shoes and socks I would take 'em off before I played.
Reply:Well of course it's easier to just kick your feet and there goes your shoes, instead of having to bend down untie your shoes, take them off, and then take your socks off. And plus if my flip-flops fall off then I usually don't care and stay barefoot.
Reply:It usually has not made much difference in my experience, though I have been in situations in which a group of people were playing games in bare feet and the ones with shoes on at the time waited for the next game because the people in flip flops had them off first.
Reply:I LOVE going barefoot.

But if I HAVE to wear shoes, its normally flip flops so I can kick them off again and get back to my bare feet :D
Reply:Another thing is, while your feet are being aired out and are cool while you're wearing flip flops, you have sweaty, stinky feet when your wearing shoes for a while. I definitely do not want to kick off my shoes with my feet in such a condition.
Reply:Yes I am.
Reply:Dumb question!! You must be bored! Go out and get some air.
