I have driven with flip flops on several times. Is this true or is this a joke?

Its true. Flip flops can get caught and impede your control on the pedals.
Reply:It could be. In some states it is illegal to drive barefoot.
Reply:Its a myth... I saw it on MTV a while back, don't remember the name of the show, but it addressed this myth. :O) It's ok to drive with flip flops on.
