Flip Flops are definately hot. They are comfortable and versatile. They look good with Jeans, Shorts, or anything summer-ish =) Sandals are nice too but they are a little more dressy... It depends on the style though...

And the feet defenitely need to be clean and not dirty, otherwise it looks unattractive, in my opinion, and pretty much the same goes with sandals...but make sure u wear them good and that the season/weather is approiate too, other wise you might look funny!!

If it is supposed to be a professional setting then absolutely not. If people look like slobs then they work like slobs. Who will get promoted, the person that looks like they should be at the beach everyday or the person dressed up? Presentation does matter even though you probably think that this is some great injustice that has been bestowed upon you.

Reply:I would say it would have to depend on the place you work? Obviously, you don't want to wear flip-flops if you are a zoo keeper or dental assistant. If you work in an office setting, you would want to maintain a professional appearance so even the nice flip flops probably wouldn't go with a blazer. If the setting is laid back, casual and safe, then flip flops should be fine. I know that living in the southwest where it commonly gets up to 115, flip flops are near standard for everyone.

they are really comfy, ive never fallen, and i can run in them but theyre not the most comfortable things to run in spesh on hard surfaces cause your heels can slip out the side and hit the ground if that makes sense....

It used to be that only people in tropical climates wore them all the time. Otherwise, you only saw them at the pool, beach or shower. Now they're everywhere! At work, at play, at dances! They look ok on guys but usually only the black or brown ones. I don't think they look very stylish though, they are extremely casual. I hate the way they're everywhere now, EVERYBODY here (Australia) seems to have a pair of Havaianas thongs, and they wear them all the time - even through winter. What the? I need two pairs of socks and some boots to keep my feet cosy in winter and these people are getting around in thongs? For god's sake people get yourselves some real shoes, they are better for your feet, more stylish and can be just as comfortable.

The majority of them are bad for your feet, to wear all the time that is, not only that, if you try to do something cute, like seeing some kids playing football in the street and you decide to be Mr. wide receiver, sprained my ankle, couldn't walk for a week. Now I buy a brand that they sell in the canteen at the VA hospital, their made by a Japanese company, with a name I can't pronounce(Okabashi) Home and garden clogs, they cost about $10.00,have a real good arch, sturdy,they have these little nubs inside, they come in two(2) styles, open and closed toe.I'm hooked, I wear them more than shoes.LATER

There are perfectly good, comfortable, casual enclosed shoes you can wear without resorting to looking like a misplaced tourist in my opinion. As for guys wearing them, that's fine, too, just make sure your feet are well taken care of (crusty feet+flip flops=ICK!) and that goes for the ladies, too (chipped toenail polish is not attractive).

I have started breaking my feet in to my heel again so that I am not under dressed for the winter. Reply:Flip flops are fine and I wear them at home, but when I see students wearing them where I work (at a college) it makes me cringe. There are perfectly good, comfortable, casual enclosed shoes you can wear without resorting to looking like a misplaced tourist in my opinion. As for guys wearing them, that's fine, too, just make sure your feet are well taken care of (crusty feet+flip flops=ICK!) and that goes for the ladies, too (chipped toenail polish is not attractive).

I have started breaking my feet in to my heel again so that I am not under dressed for the winter. I live in New England, so I can only wear them during the summer. They are nice when your school doesn't have air conditioning and your classroom is right above the kitchen when lunch is being served. And on the beach.

Flip flops are great for random walks around the neighborhood, beaches, and for school, if they let you. In high school, which is next year for me, I can finally wear flip flops to school. Yay!

Even if you DO lower your limit to 25, that's still ridiculous!!! Go to Old Navy and get a pair of flip flops for like $3. Then you can buy a lot of pairs to match with all your outfits.
I have 2 pairs of flip flops that look a lot like the ones you linked the pictures to; one was $4 at a avenue store and the other was $8 at Payless. And even $8 flip flops are expensive.
Please don't spend that much money on flip flops. Pleeeeeeeeease!!

But also poppy and bright colors, like Red, Navy and Blue! They are usually around $20 a pair. By the way, $40 is wayy too much for flip flops from A%26amp;F...I mean, its Abercrombie! I would hope you consider cheaper flip flops from there, or possibly even cute ones from Juicy Couture.

Flip flops or barefeet?
Since I have moved to America, I often remain barefeeted out of the force of the habit. Even now that I make enough money for many large shoes, I forego them for the most part. Of course, many establishments require one's feet to be shod, and so I will wear my wonderful leather sandals when I go into the city, but I very much prefer barefeetedness. In the wintertime, however, I must wear socks with my sandals, due to the cold.
