they should not need to that would be dumb. I would feel dumb anyway. P.S. I would were flip flops every day to get out of school!!!!
Reply:They can't wear tank tops either. Just another validation on why I homeschool. Public schools clearly are more focused on other things instead of education. Why is education NOT thier top priority???
Reply:Dress-codes are made b/c they care about education and safety. Flip-flops do not protect your feet.





Schools should just go to school unis. That way kids could focus on learning, not 'what hey look what so-and -so is wearing.'
Reply:Because they're not safe to walk in continuously. Someone could step on the back and make you stumble, or you could drag your toes and fold the front under. Plus, if you're wearing closed-toed shoes, someone won't do as much damage if they accidentally step on your toes.





Besides, you wouldn't want some boy with a foot fetish giving you the twice-over during your history exam!
Reply:I went to school in a small texas town in the 70's and you got your butt whipped for things like your hair touching your collar (boys) Nobody wore tank tops , flip flops , had your belly showing , wore your pants to the back of your knees , and the girls would have to have their parents pick them up if too much cleavage was showing .
