Ladies/Girls...why do some of you wear flip-flops/sandals or even go barefoot when it's cold and/or rainy?

I've seen this a lot especially in Florida. So often I see ladies/girls go outside in flip-flops, in sandals, or barefoot when it's cold and rainy - then COMPLAIN ABOUT BEING COLD? Can anyone answer that one?

I go barefoot year-round, including in the snow, but I never complain about cold feet. In fact, believe it or not, I have less cold feet and numb toes now than when I still wore shoes! And while I used to be sickly from early fall until late spring, in the ten years I have gone barefoot I've only called in sick once (for two days) and even having a minor cough is rare.

For those who do complain about cold feet (or more generally complain about the cold, it's not just a foot thing... people -especially women- will wear very skimpy clothes in chilly weather and complain) I think it's about fashion. Many women like wearing these clothes even though they know they'll be chilled, and they still chose to wear them because they think heavier clothing doesn't look as good. Unless they were surprised by a change in the weather, of course.
Reply:I don't know why they'd wear them when its cold or rainy, I don't. I'm a Florida girl, I wear flip-flops but not when its cool and damp.
Reply:lol even i do this... in Michigan! sometimes i feel like the flip-flops/sandals are the only shoes i have to go with my outfit - and i want to avoid heels for the day ...but that's just me :)
