Do i have to now remove my flip flops when passing through airport security at the airport?

I will be traveling next week from New York Laguardia to Atlanta and I want to know if i have to remove my flip flops and walk barefoot at the screening area at security?

They will make you take them off - they don't care if they beep the machine or not. Better wear sox so you don't pick up foot fungus when walking thru the machine.
Reply:The last time i had to remove my shoes was about 11 years ago. %26amp; that's in china!!! hahaa .. was wearing a timberland boots, walk across barefoot and they x-ray the boots.. hahaa





I ask my chinese colleague why they pick "me %26amp; me boots". ( no one else seems to be removing their shoes).


Reason: Summer kinda hot to wear those boots ... the Chinese are wearing those so call 'cool shoes' ( those shoes with 'ventilation holes' in them - dont know what you call those, sort of in between a sandal and shoe ).. hahaha





Now with sercurity issue, wont be surprise that they will x ray your flip flop too... haha
Reply:I've gone barefoot through security ever since the shoe bomber guy. I just intentionally wear slip off shoes. Security will even tell you it will go easier if you remove your shoes.
