Do I cut off this little plastic piece on my flip-flops?

I usually buy my flip-flops at wal-mart, but I splurged and bought some upper-end ones I found on sale at the mall.

They have a little plastic covering around the piece that goes between the toes. Is it supposed to be there or am I supposed to cut it off? Wal-mart flip-flops never had anything like this.

Do I cut off this little plastic piece on my flip-flops?
I only ever bought one pair of flip flops with the plastic on them and I cut them off immediately. When they were on, they dug into the skin between my toes and I couldn't walk with them on.

If the plastic on them is just a little tube that goes around that part, then it's fine to cut it off. If it's actually connected to some part of the shoe, then I wouldn't recommend cutting it. But I really doubt it's connected to any part of the shoe, lol. I cut mine and my flip flops are still fine a year later, so go ahead!

I personally think it's there for germ protection when people try them on in the store (which is probably why they aren't on the cheap ones), and it's fine to cut it off after you buy em. Good luck!
Reply:no ur not

lol

its supposed to be there for comfort

lol
Reply:u keep tHAT THERE
Reply:uummm i think you sould cut it off...whichever looks better
Reply:Put them on, and it if doesn't feel right, it is probably meant to be taken off.
Reply:its suppose to be there to support your feet and toes, so keep it there.
Reply:No way. That thing keeps the top attached to the bottom in the front. If you cut it off you won';t be able to wear it.
Reply:no you dont cut that off. you wont be able to wear them.

what kind of flip flops were you wearing before?
