What are some home remedies for cleaning dirty white flip flops??

My white flip flops are getting pretty dirty, and I was wondering if there were anyways to clean them to make them white again...?

What are some home remedies for cleaning dirty white flip flops??
(1)Try cleaning them with Dawn dish soap, straight out of the bottle, then rinse with warm water, %26amp; let them dry outdoors if possible.

(2)Try spraying them with Windex or any window cleaner that contains ammonia. Wipe with a clean cloth. Ammonia is great on cutting through dirt.
Reply:YW...Glad it worked for you. I use Dawn on my New Balance sneakers %26amp; soak my shoestrings in it too. It gets them really clean %26amp; white. Report It

Reply:hot water..soap %26amp; a scrub brush.
Reply:Put them in the dishwasher! It might sound a little crazy, but mine always come out looking almost new.
Reply:bleach. alot of girls like the totally drak dirty gross flip flop look. I HATE IT. clean it with a toothbrush and bleach.
Reply:When my flipflops get dirty i take a thick scrib brush and out dish soap on it. Then i wet the flip flops and scrub away. That has ALWAYS worked for me! ☺
Reply:are the rubber? if yess, lemon juice or vinegar, or soap, water and a firm hand!!!

if cotton, erm... a washing machine???
Reply:UGGGGHHHHH!!! I it when mine get dirty. To clean them, I get a big bristly brush, dump a ton of soap (like Dawn or something) on them, add water, and scrub! It takes a lot of muscle, but they look brand new after I wash them.
Reply:there are several options:

first you can soak them in HOT water for about 30 minutes. then, take them out and rinse them with cold water. use laundry detergent (or any iquid soap) and a scrub brush (an old tothbrush would work just as well.) and scrub away!

lol

second, you could just toss them into the washer. this works just as good.

third, you could soak them in some bleach or vinegar for about an hour. then you take them out and let them soak in cold water for about 10-20 minutes.

fourth, you could always get a new pair! ;-)

always remember to let them dry outdoors (if possible).

all these home rememdies should work for any type of flip flops.

good luck and i hope i helped.

10points?
Reply:vinegar and baking soda mixed in water. clorox can fade your white to yellow
Reply:put them in the washing machine!

you can really put any type of shoe in the washing machine just not like leather and suede and materials like that.

i hope they become white again!
Reply:i once hear that someone put there white flipflops in the a pool and the clorine got them clean i dont kno if it works but u could tryy
Reply:soap and water and scub it...... but it depends on the material of it add that part to the additional info and i will edit my answer

since they are from old navy and they are rubber just use soap and hot water then scrub them
Reply:Get a bucket of some sort, fill it with water and bleach, and leave them to soak for an hour or two, then carefully remove them with gloves on, dispose of the bleachy-water, then hose them down. They should be good as new. If this doesn't work, I suggest investing in a new pair.
